Authored by a Zoroastrian high priest. Bahram ibn Farhad Parsi, also known as Adhar Keyvan, was a Zoroastian high priest from Fars that emigrated to India with a wider Parsi community in 1570 AD. This is a historical treatise that accounts for events in line with the Zoroastrian religion and is divided into four chapters as follows: 1. Cosmogony and traditional history of the prophet-kings of ancient Iran, from Hushang up to Kay Qobad; 2. The Kayanid kings, from Kay Khosrow b. Kay Qobad up to Lohrasp, the prophet Zoroaster and the Eshraqian theosophers, Esfandyar, up to Darab (Darius) and Alexander; 3. The Ashkanians and the Sasanians; 4. general cosmography and geography.

The colophon describes that the text is one of the writings of Bahram ibn Farhad Parsi and that is was copied at the bequest of Siyavakhsh ibn Urmozdyar Yazdani on 12 Dhi'l-Qa'dah 1270/6th August 1854, corresponding to the 17th of Esfandar mad, the old Yazdgerdi year 1223.

Single volume, lithographed on paper, complete, 8vo (245 by 165 mm); printed from a manuscript copied in single column, 15 lines nasta'liq, headings and banners to separate chapters of the text, some leaves lightly browned else clean and crisp condition, boookplate of Firuz to upper pastedown; contemporary half leather over diced cloth-backed boards, covers lightly rubbed and soiled, remains of paper library label to spine.
