Description

Octagonal (234 mm), title and 96 engraved plates, all trimmed and mounted on octagonal cut paper, contemporary calf, blindstamped border, pierced at left hand edge for attachment, currently held by string, edges red, covers rubbed.

Note

Unusual binding, only a very few bindings in unorthodox shapes have been recorded, we believe only one other octagonal binding is known. In the same vein, a circular and heart shaped binding have also been documented.
