Note Fine copy of Stryjenska's famous series of colourful dance lithographs including peasants, nobility, Jews etc., each with the original tissue guard printed with lines of music for each type of dance. Known as the Polish Princess of Art, she was born in 1891. In 1911 disguised a man, she studied art at the Academy of Fine Art in Munich for one year until her true identity was discovered and she was sent back to Krakow. Foreword by Arthur Schroeder. |
