Description

Fifth edition. 2 volumes, 8vo (21 x 12.6cm.), 484; 490pp., engraved plate and 10 folding hand-coloured maps by Kitchin, folding table at the end, contemporary calf, spines gilt in compartments, red and green morocco labels, some maps loose or slightly torn, some browning and spotting to the text, a fine set. Provenance: Earls of Macclesfield, (armorial bookplate and blindstamp).

Note

This edition not listed on ESTC. ESTC only lists the fourth edition of this work for 1774. The present edition has a slightly re-arranged title, and different pagination. The fifth edition listed by ESTC is dated 1792, with different pagination and printer, and differences to the title.
