Note

Written by Basil Hall Chamberlain and W.B.Mason. This edition co-incides with the Sino-Japanese war of 1894-5. This letter contains a letter from the Admiralty in Whitehall to the previous owner "returning herewith your Murray's Handbook for Japan.....your book has proved most useful". The letter is dated March 1945.
