Note Rare print depicting the marksmanship of the Riflemen of the honourable Artillery Company of London at Wooolich. The description on the print reads: "The Target was five feet six inches high and fifteen feet long , which is nearly the space that nine men would occupy in line. Nine Men were stationed at two hundred and fifty Yards, and eight Men at Two hundred Yards from the Target Cartridges were not used, every Man loaded with losse Powder and Ball; the Period allowed for firing was thity Minutes, during which time Five hundred and eighty Balls struck the Target". |
