A most attractive copy of this important visual record of the eastern United States. First edition. The majority of the views are in New York and New England, but Bartlett went as far north as the White Mountains and as far south as Virginia. He found Niagara and the Hudson Valley most suitable for landscape. There are city views of Washington, Saratoga, Boston, New Haven, Baltimore, Rochester, Philadelphia, and New York, among many others.
