Quarto (23.3 x 20 cm). xxix, 268 pp. with numerous colour illustrations; light foxing as usual. Contemporary maroon half morocco gilt, marbled sides; lightly rubbed and worn.

Note

First edition of this attempt to convey geometry visually and in colour. Long thought of as merely an eccentric example of dramatic colour printing, it now takes its place as the product of one of the great mathematical visionaries of Victorian times.
