Large Paper copy. 2 volumes, 8vo (25 x 16 cm), xvi, 407; [vi-viiii] 420 pp., 12 engraved plates dated "May 1st 1803" by Storer and Greig including frontispiece, occasional spotting; attractively bound in full straight-grained green morocco gilt, covers with elaborate blind rolls and gilt corner tools within a gilt panel, spine in six compartments, gilt lettering to second and fifth, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, slight rubbed in parts. Overall a very attractive set.

Note

There were only a few Large Paper copies of this work issued. Eleven of the twelve engravings were published in "Cowper, Illustrated by as Series of Views, in , or near, the Park of Weston -under Wood, Bucks" (1803). The plates were also sold separately for binding as illustrations in copies of the poems.
