Jones, London 1829 [but 1827-1831]. 2 volumes in 1, 4to., first work with engraved title-page with vignette (Adams variant 00, showing The Kings Palace), engraved map (slight darkening and fraying to outer margin), and 156 engraved plates (of 158) on 78 sheets, bound without printed title; second work with 165 (of 192) engraved plates, bound without titles, occasional light spotting, generally a nice fresh set of plates in contemporary maroon half morocco gilt, an attractive copy.
Owing to the fact the subscribers to the work could start their subcription after the work had commenced, and purchase (or not) earlier published plates, it is common to find these titles a little incomplete. The present copy is very handsome, way better than normal.
