Hogarth's exceptional graphic work, here present in a very early collected edition, published with the consent of his widow Jane, to whom Hogarth had bequeathed all his copperplates, only four years after his death in 1764.The present collection contains not only all the best known series - the Harlot, the rake, and marriage A-la-mode - but also the Before and After plares, usually omitted by Jane Hogarth.
