Contemporary Russian half calf, spine with raised bands, gilt fillets, gilt lettering in Cyrillic to one compartment; rubbed at extremities, skillful repairs to spine and joints. Provenance: 'N. S.' lettered in gilt in Cyrillic at spinefoot.
FIRST EDITION IN RUSSIAN AND FIRST FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRANSLATION: A FINE COPY. Only the first volume was published, and this copy belongs to the genuine Russian edition: a coma in the table of contents for p.73 and a 'e' at the end of line 40 on page 65.
