Reeve, London, 1876. First edition. 1 volume bound in 2 (text and plates), xviii, 65pp., 160 hand-coloured lithograph plates drawn and lithographed by G. B. Sowerby, each illustration neatly captioned in ink in a contemporary hand, near contemporary half calf gilt, an excellent set.

A rare and beautiful iconography of non-marine Indian shells. Sowerby was the leading conchological illustrator of his day. Nissen ZBI, 1828.
