The author visited St Louis, and returning homewards, sailed for Cape Town in a small brig of 180 tons. It took him three weeks to arrive at Port Elizabeth, and he gives a short account of what existed of the town at this period. Blenkinsop also spent some time in Cape Town and included a humorous description. Mendelssohn (1910) 1p.136.
