Almost certainly privately printed in a small edition, the book provides an interesting narrative of a trip through the vast region to the west of the Caucasus mountains. Leaving Moscow, the author procceds to the Caspian and Daghestan, Gora, Tiflis, Constantinople, and back to Sistova. A good account of a region almost unknown to tourists at that time.
