India, 19th century. 16 watercolour portraits on on ivory, oval of Indian Rajahs, mounted in a nineteenth century album, each with protective paper guard, each titled beneath, blanks leaves bound in between each portrait, a few slightly rubbed, the first with small piece lacking at outer edge, the following with the a similar piece broken of but laid down beside the miniature,, finally a full page portrait hightened in gilt laid down at end, later nineteenth century red morocco backed marbled boards, spine with raised bands, gilt ruled, hinges strengthened, some slight wear but holding, bookplate roughly removed from front pastedown.
