The most important aspect of the work is his account of the revolutions in Siam from the fall of Constantin Faulcon up to 1770. This includes a description of the involvement of the French with the usurper to the Siamese throne, the persecutions which ensued and the revolutions of 1760 and 1767 which completed the French ruin.
