First edition. 8vo., 8, pp., 6 large folding colour maps in pocket, text in original printed blue paper wrappers, attached by rear wrapper to inside board of original blue cloth gilt folder as issued, from the library of Antarctic explorer Robert Neal Rudmore Brown (1879-1957), with his signature and stamps, slighlty rubbed, lacking ties.

Scace. Mulock replaced the invalided Shackleton on Scott's Discovery expedition, and proved himself an excellent cartographer, producing one of the earliest sets of maps for any portion of the Continent. Rudmore Brown was a member of the Scottish Expedition and co-authored "The voyage of the Scotia." (Taurus 51). Taurus 45; Rosove 233.A1 ("Very Scarce").
