Paris [and Neuchatel] 1694 and various. 24 pamphlets or printed documents relating to the question of sovereignty of Neuchatel, small 4to, 6 pamphlets, and 18 smaller works or printed legal documents, bound in seventeenth century stencilled boards, two corners torn, lacking spine, but original binding string holding firm, with the library shelf mark of the Freiherr von Lassberg.

The pamphlets relate to the claims of two competing claimants to the rights of Sovereignty of Neuchatel, which historically had been a French affair. The Claimants were the Duchesse de Nemours, who had already held sovereignty and the Prince de Conte. Many of the items are printed legal documents, stating that they were sworn or signed at Neuchatel and giving a date, these are on stronger paper. Whether these were printed in Neuchatel or not is difficult to ascertain. Single items on this affair are scarce and a collection thus must be of extreme rarity and interest, as a piece of French/Swiss history.
