First edition. An attractive copy of this interesting work on the corset in France before the Revolution, illustrated by a folding plate of types of corsets. Reisser defends the use of corsets, in particular for medical purposes - and accuses lazy tailors for creating too many faulty stays. Hiller 743; Wellcome IV, 501.
